AMALOWOLowcost Food Initiative

Food bank

Direct food, for people the price still excludes.

The food bank is the relief mechanism. It sits beside the low-cost market. It does not replace it.

Who it supports

Households that cannot adequately meet their food needs, including people for whom even the subsidised market price is out of reach.

How food is collected

Individuals, companies, supermarkets, farmers, restaurants, manufacturers and institutions offer approved items. ALFI reviews the offer, then schedules pickup or drop-off.

How food is distributed

After inspection and recording, food is stored, allocated and distributed as packages, emergency assistance or community feeding. The path is meant to stay traceable.

The path of a gift
